Deputy Speaker of Parliament announced the Supreme Court’s determination on the 20th Amendment to the Constitution which says several clauses in the 20th Amendment need to be approved with a 2/3 majority and a public referendum.

The Pakistani rupee plunged about 7 percent on Tuesday (October 9) in an apparent central bank devaluation, after the government said it plans to seek a bailout from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
