Ice Worth Over Rs. 60 Million Seized In Kotahena

COLOMBO (News 1st): A major narcotics raid in the Kotahena area has led to the seizure of a large stock of ‘ice’ (crystal methamphetamine) valued at over Rs. 60 million, police confirmed.

According to police, the operation was carried out by the Police Narcotics Bureau, which resulted in the arrest of a suspect believed to be directly linked to the illegal drug trade. 

During the raid, officers recovered a substantial quantity of narcotics, including 3 kilograms and 944 grams of ‘ice’ and an additional 250 grams of heroin found in the suspect’s possession.

Investigators also discovered a sum of Rs. 650,000 in cash, which is suspected to have been earned through drug trafficking activities.
