3 arrested for possession of a foreign firearm and ammunition

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Three suspects were arrested today for the possession of a foreign firearm and 29 different varieties of ammunition from the areas of Pallewela, Banduragoda, Bokalagama, and Kaleliya. The suspects aged between 38 and 50 years are residents of Baduragoda and Kaleliya. The arrest had been made during raids carried out based on a tip-off received by the police. The suspects are to be produced before the Attanagalla Magistrates court today (September 23).
