Showers expected around the island

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Department of Meteorology says a slight change in the prevailing weather condition could be expected in the South-Western part of the island and also a slight enhancement of windy conditions could be expected across the island from today (September 17). Many areas in Colombo and its suburbs experienced showers this morning. The Meteorological Department adds slight showers will occur in the Western, Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and also in the Galle and Matara districts. Showers may also occur in the North-western province.
