COLOMBO (News 1st) – A 66-year-old father of two was killed after been attacked by wild elephants in Pitiyaya, Anuradhapura.

Another individual in Pitiyaya had sustained severe injuries after being attacked by a wild elephant. The victim is currently undergoing treatment at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital.

The elephants had later been warded off by the Galnawa Police and the Meegalawa Wildlife officers.
