Redress to fishermen killed in fishing expedition

Colombo (News 1st) - The Fisheries Department says that compensation will be provided for the 4 fishermen who lost their lives in a collision between a ship and their fishing trawler. The department's Director General Prasanna Ginige said Rs. 1 million will be provided as compensation for each of the deceased fishermen. Meanwhile, investigations into the collision are underway.
