German Alumni Association of Sri Lanka to assist Gammadda initative

Colombo (News1st) -  Funds were donated by the German Alumni Association of Sri Lanka to construct a water project for the Paragala Junior School in Matara under the Gammadda initiative. The funds were donated at the MTV MBC Head Office in Colombo recently. Former Chairman of the German Alumni Association of Sri Lanka Jayatissa Perera, members of the association Shardha De Seram, Ravi Jayananda and treasurer of the association Hiran Weerasekara graced the occasion. A number of high ranking officials of the Capital Maharaja Organisation were present at the occasion to accept the donation. Plans are currently being drawn up to construct a water project in the Paragala Junior School in Matara with the funds donated by the German Alumni Association of Sri Lanka. Around 160 students studying in the school are facing numerous difficulties due to lack of clean drinking water.
