48kg of venison seized at a hotel in Anuradhpura

Colombo (News1st) - Wildlife officers have seized a stock of venison from a renowned hotel in Anuradhapura. The News1st correspondent in the area said the raid was carried out based on a tip-off received by the Ganewalpola and Ritigala wildlife offices. Wildlife officers arrested a suspect along with 48kg of venison. The suspect is to be produced before the Kekirawa Magistrate Court today (August 24).
