Van destroyed in a fire following an accident

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A small van was completely destroyed in a fire following an accident that took place in the Pelvehera area on the Dambulla - Habarana main road. A van plying from Habarana to Dambulla had collided with a car and thereafter veered off the road and caught fire. Five people were involved in the accident and two of them were admitted to the Dambulla Base Hospital. According to the News 1st area correspondent, one of them is in critical condition while the others suffered minor injuries. The car and the driver have been taken into the custody of the police. The Dambulla Police is conducting further investigations.
