‘Bosath Mapiya Sevana’ declared open

Colombo (News 1st) - President Maithripala Sirisena declared open the ‘Bosath Mapiya Sevana’ built in Ethagama, Kalutara, on Thursday (Aug 9th) to provide shelter to the parents who gave up their children for the benefit of Buddha Sasana. This center was built based on a concept of the Chief Incumbent of the Payagala Malegoda Sri Pushparama Vihara, Ven. Malegoda Nanda Thero. This Centre which is built on a two and a half acre plot of land can accommodate around 50 people. The President who unveiled the commemoration plaque and declared open the “Bosath Mapiya Sewana” Centre went on an observational tour.  A group including the Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura Ven. Dr. Iththepane Dhammalankara Thero, Ministers Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, Min. Mahinda Samarasinghe and MP Ravi Karunanayake were present at the occasion.
