Min. Faiszer Mustapha to amend sports law

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Minister of Sports Faiszer Mustapha says the country's Sports Law will be amended to appoint a committee comprising of retired judges for the elections of Sports Federations and Associations. He added that his opinion is that an independent mechanism is needed when holding elections for sports clubs. The Minister stated that he intends to hand over the entire election process to an independent election committee. Top retired judges will be appointed to this committee and the committee's appeals will be directed to the Minister of Sports
