France emerge Champions of FIFA 2018

Update -  France won the championship of FIFA 2018 as they smashed opposing Croatia with a ravishing score of 4-2 following a gruesome game just a short while ago. While the first goal was scored through the head of a Croatian, the second was fired off through a penalty shot. Of course, the season star Kylian Mbappe scored the last goal for France that had them taking the World Cup back to their motherland. France has been a prestigious team right from the beginning of the World Cup and they proved themselves victorious on the fields today. This has been a championship that they had managed to secure after 1998.   COLOMBO (News 1st) Score is now level after France scored their first Goal in the 18th minute and Croatia scored their first in the 27th minute of the FIFA World Cup Final in Russia. Croatia can cause a massive upset but French men are of course the favourites as Moscow basked in the sweltering summer sun and the world’s spotlight on the big day of the FIFA World Cup final. France's coach Didier Deschamps, is in his third tournament in charge and hoping to become only the third person to lift the trophy as a player and manager. Deschamps captained France to victory in their first World Cup final in 1998 and won against mighty Brazil. Croatia led by coach Zlatko Dalic are hoping to settle an old score with the French dating back to that same 1998 semi-finals in the tournament. Croatia captain and midfielder Luka Modric has received plenty of praise for his performances so far, including a man-of-the-match award against Argentina in the group stage. While the same could be said for French captain Antoine Griezmann, who is tied on three goals with fellow teammate Kylian Mbappe. A hat-trick would take both players level on six goals with England's Harry Kane in the battle for the Golden Boot.
