Tri-Forces to get involved in war on drugs

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Expressing views on the prevailing drug menace of the country at present, Co - Cabinet Spokesperson, Minister Gayantha Karunathilake stated that the Police is providing a great service to curb the rapid spread of the drug menace in the country. He further added that the cabinet of ministers approved the joint proposal put forward by president Maithripala Sirisena as the minister of Defence and Minister of Law and Order Ranjith Maddumabandara to draft a special provisions bill on drugs control, to allow the Triforces to be actively involved in drug prevention.
