Superman actress Margot Kidder dies aged 69

Actress Margot Kidder, best known for her role as Lois Lane in Superman, has died aged 69. The cause of her death is not yet known. According to her manager, the actress died peacefully in her sleep. The Canadian-born actress acquired American citizenship in 2005, and became a political and women's rights activist a Kidder was born in Canada in 1948, and broke into film acting in the late 60s. Her first significant role was in the Gene Wilder comedy Quackser Fortune Has a Cousin in the Bronx in 1970.
