South Africa's Former President Jacob Zuma has been charged with corruption, linked to a 1990s arms deal.
Zuma, who was ousted as Head of State, attended a brief preliminary hearing at the high court in Durban. According to foreign media reports the case was adjourned until June 8th.
Zuma faces 16 counts of corruption, racketeering, fraud and money laundering, which he has denied.
His supporters, many dressed in the green and gold of the ruling African National Congress (ANC) party, gathered to chant and sing slogans as court proceedings got underway.
