SL's High Commissioner to UK to end tenure

Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Amari Wijewardene has decided to end her tenure as Sri Lanka's representative in the UK. Issuing a media release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated "High Commissioner Wijewardene will conclude her contract on her own volition by 31 March 2018." Meanwhile, Minister Counsellor (Defence) attached to the Sri Lanka High Commission in London Brigadier Priyanka Fernando returned to the country on Thursday, February 22. Brigadier Fernando landed in Sri Lanka around 12.33 on Thursday afternoon.
