Retired Justice Anil Gunaratne appointed Chairman of SriLankan Airlines Presidential Commission

COLOMBO (News1st) - Retired Supreme Court Justice, Anil Gunaratne, has been appointed as Chairman of the Presidential Commission appointed to investigate impropriety at SriLankan Airlines, Mihin Lanka and SriLankan Catering. The other members of the Presidential Commission are Court of Appeal Judge E.A.G.R. Amarasekara, Retired High Court Judge Piyasena Ranasinghe, Retired Auditor General M.D.A. Harold and Director General of the Sri Lanka Accounting and Auditing Standards Monitoring Board W.J.K. Geeganage. The Presidential Commission is tasked with investigating and reporting the irregularities and impropriety said to have taken place at SriLankan Airlines, SriLankan Catering and Mihin Lanka from January 6, 2006 to January 31, 2018.
