Retired DIG Prasanna Nanayakkara arrested over Lasantha Wickrematunge's killing

COLOMBO (News1st) - The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested retired Deputy Inspector General of Police, Prasanna Nanayakkara, over the murder of Journalist Lasantha Wickrematunge. The Police Media Division said, Nanayakkara was taken into custody last night on  charges of concealing evidence in the case. Prasanna Nanayakkara, who was the DIG of Mount Lavinia at the time of the murder, is to be produced to court today.
