The order was issued by Colombo High Court Judge, R. Gurusinghe.
The justice permitted the suspects to travel overseas until February 16, and ordered that the Controller of Immigration and Emigration be notified of the decision.
A case is filed against the duo, under several indictments including providing and accepting a bribe of Rs. 35.5 Million.
President’s Counsel, Gamini Marapana, appeared for the defence.
Taking the counsel’s submissions into consideration, the High Court Judge warned the suspects to appear for the case filed before the Colombo Chief Magistrate during the period granted to travel overseas.
