COLOMBO (News1st): Around 100 candidates who used polythene for election propaganda activities have been identified, the Central Environment Authority (CEA) notes.
Deputy Director General, Upali Indarathne, said the secretaries of the respective political parties have been informed about this move.
He further added, fifty candidates have been identified from the Colombo district alone.
The CEA noted that legal action will be taken against these candidates who neglected instructions to remove polythene for propaganda activities.
