COLOMBO (Newsfirst) – The Water Supply Joint Trade Union Alliance has decided to continue its strike action today as well.

Spokesperson, Engineer Upali Rathnayake, said they resorted to continue the strike action as discussions with the subject minister and the General Manager of the Water Supply and Drainage Board were unsuccessful.

The general public is highly inconvenienced due to the strike. Several sectors have been affected. The inability to pay water bills is prime among the inconveniences experienced by the public.
