A foreigner named Adam Kelwick live-streamed a video on Facebook, saying he is being harassed by a group of people claiming to be police officers.
In a series of posts on his Facebook account, Kelwick took swings at the Sri Lanka Police, and the law.
Later Adam was arrested for the alleged possession of agarwood.
Although he was arrested for the possession of agarwood, questions arise regarding the identity of the persons who stopped him initially, claiming that they were CID officers.
When News1st looked further into the matter, News1st tracked down the vehicle seen in the footage, Thursday.
However, when the News1st team travelled to the location on Friday neither the vehicle nor the owner were present. We received information that he had gone to police to lodge his own complaint.
Further investigations revealed that the vehicle in question is currently in police custody and that the police has launched further investigations.
