At least two people have reportedly been killed and dozens injured after a suspected terrorist crashed into a crowd of people on a pavement in Barcelona.

The street in which the incident happened is one of the most well-known and popular parts of the city, visited by tourists and locals alike.

People took cover in nearby shops and cafes, while emergency services have requested the closure of local metro and train stations.

Local police say they still do not know the motivation for the attack, but are treating it as terrorism.
