The Colombo Magistrate’s Court granted permission for MP Mahindananda Aluthgamage to travel overseas until June 30.
The order was issued by Colombo Chief Magistrate Lal Ranasinghe Bandara, following a request by the MP.
The passport of Parliamentarian Mahindananda Aluthgamage was temporarily held following the case filed by the Bribery Commission with regard to the misuse of Rs. 3.6 million to purchase sports items.
Meanwhile, the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court also granted permission for former MP Sajin De Vass Gunawardena to travel overseas until August 8.
A case was filed against the former MP by the Bribery Commission with regard to allegedly obtaining Rs. 6 million after threatening a group of people.
