Donald Trump became the 45th President of the United States of America on Friday
The ceremony not only saw the attendance of past Presidents and Secretaries of States but also was surrounded by supporters and protesters.
President Trump vowed to drain power from Washington elites and always put “America first” in its dealings with the world at a moment of transformative political change.
Six police officers were injured and 217 protesters arrested after peaceful protests and coordinated disruptions gave way to ugly street clashes in downtown Washington.
Black-clad anarchists smashed windows and clashed with police less than a mile from where Donald Trump took the oath of office.This march of roughly 500 people that briefly turned violent.Lines of police dressed in riot gear and carrying batons faced off against masked protesters in the streets of the U.S. capital.
Police threw stun grenades and dispensed tear gas at protesters, while some protesters threw debris and lit small fires in the streets.
A limousine was set ablaze in the streets of Washington, D.C.
Protest also took place against Donald Trump across a number of countries as well.
