In a world filled with wars and conflict the idea World Peace peace may seem a bit idealistic. However this is the this very goal that HWPL or the Organisation of “Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light” that is hosting the World Alliance of Religion’s Peace Summit, hopes to achieve

The summit aims to advocate for the implementation of international law on the cessation of war and world peace through the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War which was unveiled in March this year.

A Sri Lankan delegation is also taking part in the event. President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka President’s Counsel Geoffrey Alagaratnam who is taking part in the summit as part of the panel assisting in the formation of an international law framework based on the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War shared these views with News1st.

The gala vent to mark the annual commemoration of the World Alliance of Religion’s Peace Summit will be held tomorrow in Seoul, South Korea at around 10am. To follow the proceedings live click here
