Secretary General of the United Nations Ban-Ki-moon is due to meet President Maithripala Sirisena today, Thursday September 1.
According to the President’s Media Unit, the meeting will take place on Thursday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General met with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe at Temple Trees on Wednesday night.
The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, who arrived in the country on Wednesday on a three-day official visit was welcomed at the airport by a delegation including Deputy Minister of External Affairs Dr. Harsha De Silva.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General is also expected to attend a youth camp held in Galle under the theme The role of youth in the process of reconciliation and co-existence.
During his visit, Secretary General of the United Nations Ban-Ki-moon will also visit re-settlement sites in Jaffna.
