The Ministry of Public Administration and Management said that a proposal has been submitted to the Cabinet on granting vehicle permits to state employees.
Subject Minister Ranjith Maddumabandara said that it was proposed that three vehicle permits be granted to state employees.
The first vehicle permit will be granted upon completion of six years of service, and from then on, it has been proposed for one vehicle permit to be granted once in every ten years.
Minister Maddumabandara added that public servants who function as physicians, engineers and state employees of a number of other grades will be granted vehicle permits, according to the proposal.
