Two explosions have struck the departures area of Zaventem airport in Brussels. The Brussels airport, which was rocked by two explosions on Tuesday, is now diverting planes to and from other locations, ABC News reported citing an airport spokeswoman.
The airport’s Twitter account also said that flights have been cancelled as evacuations continue.The Belgian government has confirmed there are casualties but has given no numbers yet. However the cause of the explosions is unknown.
Reuters says up to 10 dead in blasts at Zaventem airport following the Brussels explosion.
In the latest developments another explosion has been reported in Brussels Metro station.
According to AFP Belgium has raised terror threat to the highest level.
