A car involved in an accident on the Abdul Cader Road, Colombo, fled the area even with a traffic police officer on the scene. The accident which occurred on Thursday morning involved a car and a bus.

The police officer at the scene had given chase to the fleeing car, on a motorcycle which was passing by.

When inquiries were made, police stated that the car and driver have been taken into police custody.
