The UPFA, convening a press conference in Colombo, notes that there are doubts regarding the vesting of massive government projects. UPFA Colombo District Candidate Dhanasiri Amaratunga expressing views said that this government is continuing with the projects of the previous government and are simply changing the names of the projects, adding that the innocent villagers would think that previous costs was high and the cost presented by Ranil Wickremesinghe is lesser.

He also added that this government had given the tender to the same company that the government of Mahinda Rajapaksa gave the tenders to.

UPFA Colombo District Candidate Bandula Gunawardena, speaking at the press conference, said that last week, measures were taken to completely privatise the fully state owned gas company, adding that the advertisement were published citing that the tenders will be opened on Sunday.

Oman Trading International or OTI had offered 112 dollars while Pemex Oil offered 113 dollars. Shell had come forward offering 112 dollars. ”
