The suspect accused of criminal intimidation and posing death threats to former minister Dullas Alahapperuma was reportedly handed over to the Matara magistrate on Friday, July 17.
Former chairperson of the Weligama pradeshiya sabha, Dikkumburuge Kulaweera, was accused of threatening the former minister on the day the nominations were submitted and surrendered himself to court through his lawyers.
Thereby the Matara chief magisrate and acting district judge Yuresha de Silva imposed two surety bails of Rs. 200,000 each and postponed the case until Dec. 4.
