At a media briefing on cabinet decisions held on Wednesday, June 11 reporters questioned Cabinet Media Spokesperson Minister Rajitha Senaratne on the dissolution of Parliament.

Question:
Will it not be dissolved?

Answer:
No there’s nothing like that.

Question:
That means it will continue until April?

Answer:
It will go on until everything is over.

Question:
What is evident to us is that four new deputy ministers have been appointed.

Answer:
Yes, so there will not be new ministerial portfolios in a government that is going to be dissolved. Isn’t it?

Question:
But you just said…

Answer:
Who said?

Question:
That it will be dissolved tomorrow or the day after.

Answer:
The President is the one who dissolves the Parliament. Has he said that?

Question:
How many more ministers will be appointed?

Answer:
There was an MOU from the beginning stating 55 and 45.
