The father of Deputy Minister Sujeewa Senasinghe, senior lawyer Stanley Senasinghe, has passed away.

Stanley Senasinghe, who was 77 years at the time of his death, passed away after a brief illness.

A senior lawyer at Kandy Court, Stanley Senasinghe also served for a period as the Acting Magistrate of Kandy. Stanley Senasinghe’s mortal remains were brought to Mist Haven residence in Asgiriya, Kandy, this evening.

The 77 year old, passed away while receiving treatment at the Kandy General Hospital. Born on the 21st of March 1938, Stanley Senasinghe was a graduate of the Peradeniya and Colombo Universities and was the husband of retired lecturer Upamalika Senasinghe and a loving father to three children.

He raised three sons, Sepcialist Doctor Namal Senasinghe, Chartered Accountant Chaminda Senasinghe and Deputy Justice Minister Sujeewa Senasinghe.

The final rites for Stanley Senasinghe, will be observed on Wednesday.
