The Ranbhumi National Unity Rally , which is spreading the word of Unity and Reconciliation reached Mankulam on Saturday.
The rally commenced its journey on Saturday morning from Puwarasankulam.
Mankulam was the final stop of the Ranbumi Unity rally joint initiative of the MTV / MBC Networks, News 1st, The National Youth Services Council and the Colombo Port City Project.
Spreading the word of unity and reconciliation across villages, the rally commenced it journey on Friday May 8th from Thalaimannar and reached Madhu.
The convoy commenced its journey from Puwarasankulam, Jaffna.
The locals of Puwarasankulam established a fine example Unity and Reconciliation , by joining with the rally this morning.
The convoy commenced its journey from the Puwarsankulam School subsequent to multi-religious observances.
The children of the area who were overwhelmed by gunfire for decades took the opportunity to show case their talents to the world.
Purawasankulam etched named in the rally with a block that was passed hand-in-hand to be placed in the special float of the convoy.
After leaving Puwarasankulam , the Rally reached Vavuniya.
Vavuniya, the center which links the North and East in Unity and Reconciliation wlecomed the rally.
Cultural acts added much color to the welcome ceremony.
The final Destination for the Rally on Saturday was Mankulam.
The Ranbhumi National Unity Rally reached Mankulam this evening bringing the hope of reconciliation.
Locals of Mankulam, whose lives were over-shadowed by the bitter memories of the war, welcomed the rally with unity and reconciliation with smiles.
Mankulam also made its contribution to the Ranbhumi National Unity Rally.
The Ranbhumi National Unity Rally will travel to Jaffna on Sunday passing Kilinochchi and Punarin.
