US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, Nisha Biswal, met with senior government officials including Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on Monday.
Biswal, who is on a three-day official visit to the country, met with the Prime Minister at Temple Trees.
US Assistant Secretary of State, Nisha Bishwal says that Sri Lanka can count on the United States to be a partner and a friend in the way forward.
Earlier in the day, the US Assistant Secretary of State also met with the Minister and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mangala Samaraweera said that he held discussions with the Assistant Secretary in a range of issues aimed at further strengthening our bilateral relations.
