The Disaster Management Centre says that a further nine thousand ninety persons who were displaced due to the floods remain in camps.

Assistant Director of the DMC Pradeep Kodippili said that displaced groups have begun to return home as a result of
receding floods.

Meanwhile, Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana requested the public to remain vigilant of the the inclement weather. He also made a request from the public to notify any emergency disaster situation to the nearest police station.
