Three more human skeletal remains have been discovered during excavations conducted at the site in Thiruketheeswaram, Mannar.
According to Police Media Spokesperson SSP Ajith Rohana, the latest discovery has increased the number of human skeletal remains unearthed at the site to forty two.
The Police Media Spokesperson went on to say that the excavations at the site will continue. The remains were first discovered on December 20 last year,during construction work to lay a water supply line. Subsequently, excavations commenced at the site under the supervision of the Mannar District Magistrate.
