The Ministry of Education on Tuesday released  the cut off marks for the Grade Five Scholarship Examination, to gain admission to popular schools schools countrywide.

The highest cut-off marks were for Royal College and Visakha Vidyalaya in Colombo. Both schools require a minimum 186 marks for the admission.  The second highest, 184 marks is for Dharmaraja College,  Kandy.

Thirty thousand (30,000) Sinhala and Tamil medium students have qualified for admission to popular schools. Students who have passed the Grade Five Scholarship Examination should forward applications to schools based on the cut-off marks.The admission of students will be carried out by the respective schools.
