Rohitha Abeygunawardena, Project Minister – Ports and Highways
“The key problem today is that the opposition has been abandoned. When the country is being developed it is very difficuilt for the opposition. Persons who were ministers at one time are now calling others rogues out of their own experience. So we wish to ask MP Mangala Samaraweera who is levelling these criticisms, regarding a feasibility report that was called for between 1990 and 1992 by the party he now represents, for an expressway linking Colombo and Katunayake. They spent a sum of 560 million yen on this feasibility report. At the very least, did they even lay a foundation stone for the project?”
