The Second South Asian Junior Athletic Championships commenced at the Birsa Munda Stadium in Ranchi, India.
According to Sportsfirst’s Manju Thenuwara who is in India, over 1000 sportsmen and women representing eight countries in the region will take part in the championships.
Forty (40) sportsmen and women will be representing Sri Lanka at the championships and the team will be led by 400m hurdles athlete Supun Viraj Randeniya.
