Special Dengue Control Program To Be Launched Across 13 Districts

COLOMBO(News 1st): The National Dengue Control Unit has taken measures to implement a special dengue control program covering 74 Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions across 13 districts.

Acting Director of the unit, Dr. Kapila Kannangara, stated that the program is being carried out in these targeted areas based on increased entomological data. He said that the special dengue control drive will run from 09 November to 14 November.

So far, approximately 105,500 dengue cases have been reported islandwide, along with 79 dengue-related deaths.
