Namal Rajapaksa Produced Before Hulftsdorp Magistrate’s Court

COLOMBO (News1st): Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) National Organizer and Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa, who is currently in remand custody, was brought to the Hulftsdorp Magistrate’s Court this morning.

He was produced before the court in connection with a case filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) over the alleged acceptance of a Rs. 100 million bribe relating to the Airbus deal.

When the case was taken up on October 13, the Attorney General informed the court that investigations into the matter had been concluded.

Accordingly, the suspect had been remanded until today.
