Over 10,000 People Affected By Adverse Weather Conditions

COLOMBO (News 1st): A total of 10,311 people across 21 districts have been affected by adverse weather conditions.

The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said the reported incidents include landslides, drowning incidents and floods.

A total of 28 houses have been completely damaged, while 1,807 houses have sustained partial damage.

Meanwhile, 67 people from 23 families are currently staying at safety centres.

The public can directly notify the Disaster Management Centre of any emergency disaster situation by calling the 117 hotline.
