CID Records Statement From Karuna Amman in Abduction Probe

COLOMBO (News 1st); Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan, better known as Karuna Amman, appeared before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) this morning to provide a statement in connection with an ongoing investigation into an alleged abduction incident.

Police said Karuna Amman was summoned to the CID as part of inquiries being conducted into the case and was questioned by investigators during the course of the day.

Following the recording of his statement, he left the Criminal Investigation Department premises this afternoon, according to police.
