Fourth Suspect Arrested In Baddegama Shooting Investigation

COLOMBO (News1st);Another suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting in the Halpathota area of Baddegama, which resulted in the deaths of two women and a man.

The victims were traveling in a three-wheeler when individuals in a car opened fire on them. A man and a woman died at the scene, while another woman who was hospitalized with injuries succumbed to her injuries yesterday morning.

The newly arrested individual is a suspect of aiding and abetting the crime.

Police also recovered 6 grams and 100 milligrams of heroin in his possession.

The 23-year-old suspect is a resident of Kahawatta.

Three other suspects accused of aiding and abetting the murders were arrested previously.
