COLOMBO (News 1st); The Director of the National Hospital of Sri Lanka has been ordered to appear before the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court on September 22 and show cause for the failure to submit a court-ordered medical report concerning former State Intelligence Service Director Suresh Salley.
The notice was issued by Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena after the hospital failed to comply with a previous court directive requiring the submission of a report on Salley's health condition.
The Magistrate had specifically requested a detailed assessment on Salley's current medical status and whether he should continue to remain admitted to the National Hospital for treatment or could be discharged.
The original order was issued by the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court on September 2, directing the Director of the National Hospital of Sri Lanka to furnish the court with an updated medical evaluation of Suresh Salley.
