Police Open Fire on Three-Wheeler; Arrested Men Armed With Swords

COLOMBO (News 1st): Police opened fire on a three-wheeler in the Borella area after its occupants allegedly failed to comply with police orders to stop.

According to Police, five suspects were subsequently taken into custody following the incident.

Officers also recovered three swords that were allegedly in the possession of the suspects.

Police stated that the five individuals were travelling to engage in a confrontation arising from a personal dispute at the time of their arrest.
