Kehelbaddara Padme Remanded Until September 3

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Organized crime figure Kehelbaddara Padme has been remanded until September 3.

He was remanded following his appearance before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court today.

Kehelbaddara Padme was arrested in Indonesia, on August 08, 2025. 

The arrest was made during a joint operation conducted by the Sri Lanka Police and Indonesian Police.

The suspect was repatriated to Sri Lanka on August 31, 2025, and was subsequently taken in to the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), where he was later subjected to interrogations.
