Live Hand Grenade Found Near the House of A Close Associate of Wanathe Chathu

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Police have recovered a live hand grenade near a house on Lesley Ranagala Mawatha in Borella.

The grenade was found during a raid carried out based on information received by the police.

During the raid, The grenade was discovered near the residence of a close associate of organized crime figure 'Wanathe Chathu', who was recently arrested.

It is believed that the grenade may have been placed there to threaten the individual.

Investigations are underway to identify and arrest the individual who brought and placed the grenade at the location.
